Read your article on Melchizedek and I really love it, but I have a question. Three times you directly referred to the Holy Spirit as Melchizedek. Is it your position that the Order of Melchizedek is centered upon or within the Holy Spirit as the avenue through which the believer may worship the Father, since Jesus, a resurrected glorified man is now seated at the Fathers right hand as God and is the High Priest of that Order. Jesus has all authority (right to request, demand, etc.), but the power to execute that authority rest with the Holy Spirit.
Thanks Paul for the comment. I don’t profess to have all the answers. In the article I have said that ‘Melchizadek is the Personification of the Holy Spirit’. In other words it’s God’s way of saying to us that the Holy Spirit is very real from when He was involved at creation (Gen.1:2) until He appeared to Abraham (Gen.14:18). Are they one and the same? The evidence could very well indicate that they are.

The apostle Paul seems to infer in Heb.4 that it is important for us to enter into the true Sabbath rest. (Heb.4:9-11) The context seems to indicate that there is a broader meaning here than simply one day a week. To those who can accept that, the call appears to be to surrender to God all of the time. I die daily said Paul. (1 Cor.15:31) In this context he also said, “the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” (Gal.3:24,25) The “law” in this passage of Scripture would have to include the Sabbath. I earnestly believe that the New Testament is calling us to a deeper level of surrender than simply coming together for fellowship on one day of the week. He wants us to experience His joy and His peace all of the time. This is the true ‘Sabbath rest’ that He is calling us to.

Thanks Janette for the suggestions. It’s hard to explain why I’m not going all out to increase the number of visitors. I guess as the title suggest there is a timing in all these things. Those who are being led to the website and reading it, though few in number, seem to be appreciating what they read. This to me is more valuable than creating a lot of noise. There are seeds being sown. When the rain comes to water those seeds they will spring up and multiply. I think we all have to be patient and wait for that time. It will come.
